about
When All The Lights Turn Red is a song about Chris's mother. She was having to deal with two rebellious teenagers, a divorce, and having to move back in with her mother with her two boys to start over. The stress caused her to have a nervous breakdown and she was never the same since.
"I often look back at that situation and wish there was something I could have done to have helped her deal with it or give her strength. I feel like we were mean and didn't understand the situation so we probably only made it worse. She was the kindest most giving person I have ever met." - Chris
She passed away from cancer in 2009. RIP Christine.
lyrics
"Can we go to the hill again?
I'll never ask you for anything
I swear we won't stay long"
but then we'd stay there for hours and hours
"could you please stay close to home?
it doesn't matter what your brother says"
and then we'd start all over again
but sometimes you can't escape the past
and this is how I remember it
I was only a boy
If I could go back and say to you
we never meant any harm
so the lights stay green
Am I suppose to get used to it?
cause I don't think that it can be done
If I could go back in time
there's really nothing that I could do
let's keep running
never look back
let's keep driving
never stop
you know sometimes you've gotta let it go
you've gotta keep on keeping on
